Located 23 miles from Santa Fe and off of US Hwy 285, you’ll find the small adobe village of Galisteo. Built on the site of an ancient pueblo, the village is now home to artists, writers and healers who have found refuge in its thick walls and wide open spaces outside of town. There is an Inn here, but little else of commercial activity, just beautiful sunsets and long mountain vistas amid the quiet of the village. Prices range from $400,000 to over $1,000,000.
Lamy became the location for the train station and a spur line was built to take passengers into Santa Fe. There are a number of subdivisions around Lamy and along the US Highway 285 corridor past Eldorado with homes on larger parcels of land and generally at higher prices than nearby Eldorado. The Eldorado water utility provides water service to most of those subdivisions.
